Do you remember Quentin Tarantino’s film Pulp Fiction?

“Vincent: (…) But you know what the funniest thing about Europe is?

Jules: What?

Vincent: It's the little differences. I mean, they got the same s..t over there that we got here, but it's just...it's just, there it's a little different.

Jules: Example?

Vincent: OK. No, możesz wejść do kina w Amsterdamie i kupić piwo. I to nie w jakimś papierowym kubku; mówię Ci, w prawdziwej szklance. A w Paryżu możesz kupić piwo w McDonaldzie. A wiesz jak nazywa się Quarter Pounder with Cheese w Paryżu?”

“Jules: They don't call it a Quarter Pounder with Cheese?

Vincent: Nah, man, they got the metric system. They wouldn't know what the f... a Quarter Pounder is.

Jules: What do they call it?

Vincent: They call it a "Royale with Cheese."

Jules: "Royale with Cheese."

Vincent: That's right.

Jules: What do they call a Big Mac?

Vincent: A Big Mac's a Big Mac, but they call it "Le Big Mac."

Jules: [in mock French accent] "Le Big Mac." [laughs] What do they call a Whopper?

Vincent: I don't know, I didn't go in a Burger King.” *

Poland is in Europe. In Poland, Quarter Pounder with Cheese is called McRoyal. Big Mac is called Big Mac. I don’t know if they serve any burgers in this Warsaw bar called PULP FICTION, but they serve shots (as in vodka) and there were plenty of shots (as in gun shots) in the movie Pulp Fiction. 

Polska jest w Europie. W Polsce Quarter Poinder with Cheese nazywa się McRoyal. Big Mac to Big Mac. Nie wiem czy serwują hamburgery w warszawskim barze o nazwie PULP FICTION, ale serwują shots („kieliszki wódki”, ale również „strzały z broni palnej”), a w filmie Pulp Fiction było mnóstwo „shots” czyli strzałów z broni palnej.

The main square of Wroclaw’s Old Town is much bigger than Warsaw’s Old Town Square. The Main Square of Wroclaw is like the city itself: beautiful, colourful, lively, and friendly.

Rynek główny na starym mieście we Wrocławiu jest dużo większy od warszawskiego rynku na Starym Mieście. Rynek Główny Wrocławia jest jak to miasto: piękny, kolorowy, pełen życia i bardzo miły.

It is a rare occurrence that there are more toilets than women waiting in line during big events. Usually, it’s the other way around ;-).

Yabba dabba doo!

Hello, hope you are well. We are getting very ecological in Warsaw. Gasoline powered cars are no longer permitted in the city center. The electric Smart Cars have been booted out as well. The only type of personal car allowed on the streets is the Flinstone – Yabba dabba doo.

Witam, mam nadzieje, że macie się dobrze. Warszawa robi się bardzo ekologiczna. Samochody napędzane benzyną nie mogą już wjeżdżać do centrum miasta. Elektryczne Smarty również zostały przepędzone. Jedyny rodzaj samochodu dozwolony na ulicach to Flinstone – Yabba dabba doo.

Well, not just yet ;-). A few cars from well-known movies were on display during the recent annual Night of Museums event. Here is The Black Beauty from The Green Hornet.

No, jeszcze nie całkiem ;-). Niedawno, podczas dorocznej Nocy Muzeów, można było obejrzeć kilka samochodów ze znanych filmów. Oto samochód Black Beauty (Czarna Piękność) z filmu The Green Hornet (Zielony Szerszeń).

A James Bond classic Aston Martin (a Blue Beauty, if you ask me).

And one more armoured vehicle, which I was not able to identify. Do you know the movie where this car appeared?
